Bead/Pearl Knotting

Instructed by Tonya Keville ~ $35 / 3 Hours
BEGINNER LEVEL

Knotting is such a classic and traditional style of jewelry making!  Aside from its use with pearls, the popularity of malas has revived it in recent years.  In this class, students will learn how to knot beads and/or pearls with silk or nylon beading thread.  Also included: designing your necklace/mala; how to add a clasp; how to make a continuous strand (no clasp); and how to add fringe.

Students will be given plenty of thread and beads for practice at the beginning of the class.  Once comfortable with making knots, students will start a knotting project of their choice.  Please come to class with your own pair of knotting tweezers.
