Beat the heat by beading in our Back to Basics Classes we’ve got coming up in August!

We finally brought back our Pearl Knotting class with a new teacher, Haleigh! For now, her class will be every THIRD Sunday from 1-3pm for $35 per student. Also, just a reminder that you can bring any beads to this knotting class, you don’t have to use pearls!

If knotting isn’t your thing, we have our regular Intro to Jewelry, Intro to Wire Wrapping, and Intro to Peyote Stitch – great for beginners or beaders that need a refresher!

We are so happy to have the store stay open until 7pm, Monday through Friday! 
We will continue to open at 11 am, and Saturday and Sunday hours will remain the same.  Hours for the entire week are:

Monday – Friday 11-7 pm      Saturday 11-5 pm      Sundays 12-5 pm

Not only are we strictly enforcing the 10 person maximum in the store, we also require that all employees and customers wear masks.  We are requiring each person to disinfect their hands upon entering the store, and are cleaning the store multiple times during the day.

We now have all the Delica colors in size 11/0 in stock. We are slowly adding them to our Etsy store, (seaofbeadstx), AND to the store wall. If you don’t see the color that you need, please ask, and we will weigh out the color for you.

It is much more fun to actually see the vibrant colors and different styles of beads!  But, phone apps such as WhatsApp and Facetime make those experiences possible without having to physically be in the store.  If you are familiar with these apps and would like to place your order with them, please give us a call, (512) 533-9090, and one of our employees can easily walk you through the process.

Curbside pick-up process:

1. Call Sea of Beads and place your order over the phone, be prepared with detailed descriptions and the quantity of desired items, also pictures sent via text message are helpful.
2. Have your credit card ready for payment over the phone; Venmo (optional)
3. If you have a loyalty card, please have that out and ready to read the 16 digit number for us to apply your points.
4. Call when you arrive and we will be right out with your purchase.
5. All purchases will be handle only by clean hands and with the most gentleness of care.

Get ready for Spring and Summer with a Full Day Workshop on Saturday, April 18th to make some great bracelets!  We have three class on the roster at reduced prices –  $25/class OR take ALL of them for $60 (!)   Sign up early, space is limited!

Begin the day with Wrist Wraps (10:00 AM – Noon) … Choose 6mm or 8mm beads – firepolish, semi-precious stones, or Tilas.  These bracelets never go out of style!

Up next is the resurgence of Sweet Pearl Wrap (1-3:00 PM) …

Use any beads from 2mm to 6mm – pearls, stones, firepolish, rondelles all work well.

Very quick and easy to make, it adds a little bling to a simple leather wrap!

Finish off the day with Beady Friendship (4-6:00 PM) …

The color combinations for this bracelet are endless…  Chinese knotting cord, 6/0 and 8/0 seed beads, and a button offer lots of options.

This will become your “go-to” summer bracelet!

Donna Mehnert is having a Lampwork Trunk Show at Sea of Beads! February 8th and 9th  Including one of kind cabochons, strands, loose beads, hollows, new work, classic work and finished jewelry!

“Summer Fridays” are the perfect beginning to any beader’s weekend!   

Starting in July and continuing through August, we will be offering some of our more popular classes on Friday afternoons.  Class times are 3-6:00 PM or 4-6:00 PM, depending on the class….plenty of time to have some lunch before and miss traffic after!
